Merchology - The Art and Science of Food Presentation.
Aramark is a $12 billion dollar food, facilities, and clothing provider supplying businesses, educational institutions, sports facilities, and health care institutions. ARAMARK wanted to reinvent their foodservice equipment catalog so they partnered with Atomic Playpen. Previous Aramark publications were sent out as a single catalog of products and provided very little information to help the operators merchandise their food. Atomic Playpen recommended segmenting the catalog into a 5 book set that foodservice operators could reference to help run their business. The set was branded by Atomic Playpen as “Merchology - The Art and Science of Food Presentation&rdquo. A new book was sent each quarter focusing on a different area of the foodservice operation (e.g. grill, entree, etc.). In addition to being an equipment catalog, each book also included food merchandising tips, food presentation ideas, and beautiful photography of equipment setup recommendations to help the operators increase sales.
